You know that bad boy had 3 watts of power. Back when I had a plan for Iowa only and roam outside of Iowa I could go to Minnesota on I 90 lock the phone to home only and have coverage across Minnesota. Back then that was huge benefit. I always knew when that phone was going to ring before it rang, the radio on the vehicle would start buzzing.

We used these bag phones when we didn't need the phone as a pacifier. I drive truck obviously by my name and I can tell you probably 90% of the cars that pass me have the phone in their hands or on their lap, even if they aren't using them.

I'm 75% sure I'm going to be trading in my Pixel 7 Pro for the S22 Ultra. My screen is flickering and Google is sending me a replacement. After I send the faulty one back, I'll be trading in the replacement to Verizon. I'm hoping the trade in deals are the same by the time that happens.

It's hard to pass up the $800 bill credits. I may also end up selling my Galaxy Tab S8. We'll see how I can adapt just using the S23 ultra.

I wonder if I can cancel the order from Verizon in case I change my mind. I know they have the 14 day return policy.

I know the current preorder deals run until the 16th of February.

Here is a picture of what my 7 Pro looks like with the screen. Apparently there are quite a few people experiencing this same issue if you search for it. Sucks as I have only had this phone for less than 3 months.

I won't be trading in my damaged phone though. I'm still undecided about switching back to Samsung.

Anyone on Verizon see any movement yet? I imagine Verizon will be normal and start seeing movement Monday or Tuesday.

I ordered 2-2 and nothing yet. I don't expect it early from Verizon. They are usually the last to get it out. I don't understand why they do that but I'll be fine if it arrives by Friday!

I have one unlocked coming from Samsung on Monday. Chances are I won't set it up till next Saturday anyway. I don't usually set up new phones during the work week in case of issues. I travel and don't need to be having to deal with that. I almost prefer new phones arrive on Fridays.

I ordered direct from Verizon. Couldn't beat the$1000 trade for the s21 ultra. I just hate being locked into 3 yrs. I almost skipped this year and was going to wait one more year before upgrade. So I could make it 3 yrs without an upgrade no problem but if I really wanted a new one in 2 yrs, I'm kinda stuck. Oh well!!

Just checked My Verizon and it shows my S23 Ultra was shipped today with 2 day shipping to my local store.

The store rep told me when I ordered on the 1st, that even if they get it early, they are not supposed to give it to me until the 17th . So I'll call this week to see if that's true or not!

Work the numbers. I figured around the 18th month on the carrier trade INS you could pay the carrier off and be paying some the same amount we are paying on the Samsung site for unlocked and the low trade INS. I'm using the $500 trade in amounts from Samsung.

If you're trading in a old phone then the carrier trade INS are the best deal. If you're using a phone that's 2 to 3 years old then the carrier deal is best deal as you keep the phone awhile. Verizon's 3 year payments option is a little long IMO, but most people keep their phones that long anyway.

I agree. I looked at the payments Verizon will be giving in credit. Roughly $27.77 per month x 24 months. That's $666!! Way better than what Samsung offered at$380 for the trade of the s21 ultra So it's feasible to upgrade on 2 yrs after payoff at that time, but unless the s25 will blow me away, there will be no reason to upgrade. The updates are so incremental anymore, nothing mind blowing year to year.

With the low trade INS I'll be looking at keeping for 2 years.

If it ships Monday morning that would be Wednesday delivery. Which sounds right, Verizon usually only gets to you 2 days early if it's going to be early.
