Just switched to Verizon a few months ago and got the fold 3 with the $1000 trade in offer. I ordered the s22u from Samsung unlocked. Is Verizon gonna give me crap when I swap my sim card from the fold to the s22u?

No. Don't use the sim card that comes with the locked phone. Just put the sim card in from the fold and done, plus you shouldn't get nailed with that $35 activation fee either from Verizon.

If I'm reading your post correctly, the Fold is paid for? If it's paid for they could care less. Use it, store it, trade it, run over it in your car. If you're making payments you're free to do all those things except trade or sell it as it wouldn't be eligible for activation on another account.

No technically I owe 1600 on it still because the trade in gets spread out for 36 months or whatever. That's why I went unlocked with Samsung.

I've traded several phones that were not paid off with no issues. I've been told by several Verizon does not lock the phone down if not paid off, in fact they unlock it in 60 days so you could activate it on another carrier. If the person doesn't keep paying and pay it off Verizon will take original purchaser to collections. It's like a credit card purchase, the phone is not collateral. If this changed, I haven't seen it yet, but suppose it could have.

Now trading into Verizon probably would not work if not paid off. OP isn't getting rid of his phone anyway, so not issue here.

Just throwing this out there for you, Verizon will not trouble shoot a unlocked phone, they will go thru to make sure it's not the network, once they determine it's not then they connect you to Samsung.
Never call carriers for help anyway. Usually figure it out myself or come here for help.

Seriously? Cause I thought I had lost my note 20 about 6 months ago. Got a insurance replacement as lost. About 3 months later the phone was returned to me. It's been sitting in a drawer every since. Are you saying i could use?

If you filed insurance claim it is locked then, so no it's a paper weight now unless you return it to the insurance company so they can put it back in the system as replacements or whatever.

New issue, once I Swapped my sim card I got an email from Verizon about my number share. It says I can't switch the number share to my new phone. It says to switch it to another line or create a line for it. Anyone have a galaxy watch shared with an unlocked phone on Verizon?

I added my Samsung watch to my unlocked device Note 20 and then swapped the Sim to my Zfold 3 with no issues. Contact or visit Verizon.

I'm sharing my watch with unlocked phone.

I just hooked up the watch to my s22u. Seems to be working fine while connected, I'll give it a few days then check how it works on lte.
