Verizon Refurb HELL

I'm on my second refurbished Incredible in a week's time. Original phone's camera lens was unglued or whatever attaches it and there was dust getting underneath it. First refurb looked great, but when I activated it, there was a horrible reverb/buzzing sound so off I went to Verizon to get another one sent. They overnighted it to me, so I got it this morning.

I went through the same procedure as the previous refurb, unmount the sd card from the old one, take it and the battery out and pop them into the new phone and then go through activation. When everything was done and the phone restarted, I got a notification saying the sd card was removed and to insert another one. Problem was, the card was still in and didn't show up in the settings. I tried the card in my old phone, and it worked for about two seconds. The same happened with my computer.

This card worked last night perfectly and now, after putting it in my latest refurb, is toast. I lost all my pictures from the last month or so and I am extremely angry with Verizon. Now, should I be concerned that there is an issue with the sd slot of this phone that will destroy any other cards I put in it? Also, should I see if there's any compensation they can offer for this? I bought this card myself so I would have a larger storage than what they included with the phone and now it's completely useless, so I'm out a memory card. And thirdly, I know this one's a long shot, but is there any way to get the data off it? I wouldn't be nearly so upset if I hadn't just lost irreplaceable pictures.

The SD card is completely unreadable on any device, otherwise I would reformat it. I get the same error message when putting it into the old phone and when I put it in my computer, it only showed up as a drive once and every time I plug it in to my computer, it freezes explorer. It has been rendered completely unusable.

I've always had issues with refurbed phones in the past. The trend in all my long years with Verizon is that a phone usually works ok but when a small problem happens, they are quick to offer a replacement. Once you get that replacement, then the real problems happen and you end up with 4 or 5 until you get sick and tired and get a new phone. So the moral of the story is, try to stick it out with your phone... I have a feeling that refurbs are devices with problems that Verizon techs are unable to duplicate. They run them thru testing and once they pass, they just recertify them and send them out as replacements. Sure enough, whatever problem the last customer had with it will end up your problem once you trigger that issue they had

Have this same experience multiple times.....first with Blackberry Blds- then they switched me to a Droid X.The first DX they sent me had some woman's data and pictures on it....WTF? Now after having massive 30 second lag after the GB OTA they sent me a DX that won't charge, had hard keys that only light up when screen is off and some times can not be woken up at all. WTF Verizon...seriously?
