It's so easy to get off topic when the forum is for a phone that doesn't exist yet! Sowwy, but yeah, I like the One. Wish I had the option of purchasing that before going with the S4...

In know, I too was gonna get the SG4 if Verizon didn't come out with the one. I was checking all the write ups about and was set to get that Im glad I held out!!!!

I don't think my S4 can be rooted easily on Verizon. But the touchwiz even with the new update often freezes while waiting on background stuff.

Yeah, with the latest OTA update, ME7 for Verizon S4's, the previous root method and ability to install alternate boot loaders, etc. no longer work. They haven't released anything yet to at least gain Root on ME7. Not sure if/when it might come.

I'm now looking at the HTC One, Moto's new X, or the new LG G2 (might be too big). Anyone have any thoughts about those 3? I guess it's too early to tell until the other 2 are released and we have some reviews and compare the actual overall sizes too.

I have been waiting to see the ONE. I know it will be "old" by the time it hits Verizon. I've been a big fan of my Incredible and Thunderbolts, however I stopped using my TB after the ICS update which made it too sluggish.

The new moto's might be nice. To me it depends on the quality of their cameras and screens. The screen on my Bionic and the Razr haven't looked as good as my TB and the Samsungs. I still like HTC and Samsung better for cameras too.

I hope Verizon's event on July 23 doesn't steal too much focus from the HTC One. I guess I'm thinking the more that have this phone, the better the possibility there will be root, s-off, etc, no?

I'm thinking Late August or early September. I hope not, but I think this will be the time frame. If I had to peg an exact date it would be September 12th.

If it comes out on the 15th of August I don't count that as late August. That's mid August. And we're nowhere near sept 12th so I think you're jumping the gun on your guess being close/correct if it comes out on the 29th of August or 5th of September as rumored then you can be excited for almost winning nothing
