Verizon - Release Date Prediction for HTC One - Phil - You should give a prize to winner

August 1st. Usually its released within a month of it hitting the FCC. Plus if you go to a VZW store and ask them to look up the accessories for the One, it has a target launch date of August 1st. The accessories launch the same day as the phone :-)
Looks like you win with the raod map picture shows the 1st!!!

That can always change. I'm still betting July 18

I bet a $500,000,000 ad campaign will change your mind about that Moto lameness lol

heh nope don't think so. I'm not going back. I got my kicks with my ridiculously laggy MAXX HD for months and was so done with that thing. I really like Sense, especially on this excellent screen, that would be hard for me to give up. No need for a new phone for a while, unless I get a really strong itch for the One.

I gave up. Got an S4. Thing is amazing. Just weighed out the options, the One just didn't have as much developer support.

cool. enjoy it. I like the S4 in hand, it has a very solid feel, and much improved fit than the S3.

I think the problem was I had too much time to decide and weigh out all the options.
The speaker volume sucks. My Casio Commando had a better speaker than the S4. But it's still a big upgrade from my GNex.

The only thing the S4 has going for it(for me) is the removable battery and ability to modify it to use all those touchstone chargers I've collected over the years. It's too wide, too plastic, and somewhat more fragile than the S3. Still it's a great phone, if a little high on gimmicks.

There's just something about the HTC One that all features taken together and implimented the way they are - they're greater than the sum of its parts.

The SIII is a hair wider than the S4. And I really doubt you can tell the difference between 2.75 inches (S4) and 2.69 inches (ONE). Now the ONE may feel better in your hand but that's not because of the size difference but because of the shape etc.. Myself, I like the hand feel of the S4 way better than the ONE, of course this is without a case which kind of makes it a mute thing. By the way I don't have either one yet LOL.

Well, out of all the gimmicky stuff, none of it mattered because I installed an AOSP ROM within minutes of opening the box. The only thing I like though, is the universal remote. I believe the HTC One has the IR blaster too. Haven't tried it outside the house yet, but it's going to be shenanigans when I do lol.

Funny, just the opposite here. I gave up on my current S4 freeze up machine and am patiently waiting on the HTC One and hoping the screen freezes are no more.

Anyone thinking of switching to ATT, don't ... It's slow ;)

I have the ATT version. Actually left vzw because of it, after a Big Red customer for 12 yrs. I live in a hugely vzw area. Have my entire life. Have to say, glad I switched. Coverage, 4g, and customer service have been great. Coolest thing about AT&T is when you aren't in LTE coverage, you drop to std 4g,not drop straight to 3g like with Verizon.

The problem is the stock touchwiz ROM. I know not everyone can flash a custom ROM on their device, but if they could, they would see how good their phone really is. Sense is better than touch wiz, so out the box, it would appear the HTC One is better even though the S4 has the better hardware.

Mine never lags....rooted and using eclipse tw edition which is a perfect hybrid tw/aosp ROM. Plus the new ota actually got rid of the lag for the stock folks...

I don't think my S4 can be rooted easily on Verizon. But the touchwiz even with the new update often freezes while waiting on background stuff.

I'm now looking at the HTC One, Moto's new X, or the new LG G2 (might be too big). Anyone have any thoughts about those 3? I guess it's too early to tell until the other 2 are released and we have some reviews and compare the actual overall sizes too.

They have a root method not yet released. Just no bootloader workaround like loki yet.

Summer is half over only 47 days left so when are we getting at least a release date to look forward too. It was suppose to be late summer not the last day. I'm so loosing interest in this phone and verizon. :( It even shows in the AC verizon HTC ONE threads almost no daily post so others too have lost intrest or they talk about other phones. The leaks have stopped WTF is going on?
