I just was talking on the phone and looked something up on the internet with NO wifi enabled. But, advanced calling has to be enabled. I couldn't talk and use data before I enabled it.

No trouble holding it, just a few issues swipe typing but that might just be me. Led notifications work well, I use AcDisplay just because personal preference

Your panel minimizes when you have an active screen. You can touch the Edge to your heart's content and nothing happens. I'm touching it intentionally all over the edge while composing this. Nothing is activated.

Unless you swipe it out into the screen, then it'll activate but as long as you're not swiping from the far edge of the edge screen you should be fine
