Verizon Releases a Statement on the GN

Yup.. you are right. Must have pulled some old cached version.
What are you people talking about? It's still the most recent post on Android & Me, dated Dec 14 at 11:55 AM, and it clearly references this morning's earlier announcement of the white RAZR. Unless you're claiming Android & Me is lying about receiving this statement directly from Verizon, what are you talking about?

Edit: My apologies, nithilarajan, you're actually agreeing with me. Some others still seem to be confused, though...

Yes, yes this was certainly very good information....ABOUT NOTHING!

This is turning into something so laughable its not funny.

Christmas day? No way. First stores stay open for thanksgiving now this. I will only half believe this, but it continues the trend. If this holds true Verizon has ruined my Christmas. It will be hard to tell my family I have to leave at 830 am to get my present from Santa who got stuck as a VZW store. That would be almost a month of the phone sitting in stores. I have never heard of such a thing.

HOLY FN SHT.

did you seriously just say Verizon has ruined your christmas? and you will need to explain to your family why you are leaving christmas morning?

you do realize you dont have to buy it the very second its released right? and its just silly to say such things especially considering it was obviously a joke that they would be open on Xmas.

I really cant believe in less then 10 replies to this we have 2 people talking about leaving their families xmas morning to go pick up the phone. and one of them is even saying Verizon ruined chrismas.. LOL

This phone is not launching on Christmas day. The cost of opening all stores and giving employee's holiday hours on a day that nothing is open and nobody shops is completely insane. Why would VZW drop that much money to launch a phone when they could just release it on a normal operating day? That makes no sense.

Plus on top of that Christmas falls on a Sunday this year.

Its not happening.

Seems pretty obvious that a fair number of people have gone nuts over this whole thing, sure I'd like to get the phone but people need to get a friggin grip, wound way too tight.

Can someone please show me where this was announced today? It's not on their website. I don't see it on their twitter. This thing has spread like wildfire and I'm not exactly sure why. It's coming out tomorrow until Verizon specifically says it isn't. It's that simple.

E-mailed statement to androidandme.com.

I got the same statement from the PR rep Albert.Aydin@verizonwireless.com

I tried explaining this already on the first page of this post but I guess no one is listening. This is just the standard verizon PR response to inquiries about the nexus and has been for several weeks now. I received an identical email two weeks ago. This is nothing new today and I have no reason why people think it is.
