It's kind of infuriating to know that your phone has been sitting 2.5 hours away from your house for 5 days with no hint of movement while others have traveled hundreds of miles. WTF Linwood? Are you some kind of Twilight Zone? Don't mind my rage, this is a normal part of my phone order process.

Called UPS and asked what was up with the info unavailable... Was told that Verizon didn't provide that information to them... But anyway, he says my package is out for delivery TODAY between 5-7pm... which sounds about right because the UPS man always shows a little after 5pm...

Well. FedEx apparently dropped the ball on mine. Paid for one-day by 10:30. As they have less than 3 minutes left, I don't think they are going to make it.

When did Verizon say this? I was never told that. If you had requested overnight delivery most likely you would have gotten it a day early.

I was told this by a sales rep in the store when I came in to play with the demo unit, as well as the rep over the phone when I placed my order. I asked something to the affect of "Pre-ordering will guarantee I get the phone on release day?". Their responses were along the lines of "Yep, you'll probably even get it early". Whether they were trying to close the sale or not, they shouldn't be saying it if it isn't true.

Just got mine 10 minutes ago. But unable to activate phone (even though my old phone was off). Anyone else had luck activating the new phone?

FedEx should have at least shipped phones to local hubs starting Tuesday instead of waiting till Wednesday. They are dealing with high volumes and why wait till last minute to start moving them to the local hub. Mine is still sitting in Memphis with a delivery date of Friday. My guess FedEx is going to treat it as overnight shipping now. FedEx is usually good about getting packages to you on time barring weather weather issues. With the extra volume you would think FedEx would have at least moved the packages to the local hub to be held to prevent any issues.

Edit: Mine has moved, in omaha, ne now. only 2 1/2 hours away, so will be here tomorrow as promised. Looks like verizon and fedex held up to what they said they would do.

From an anxious consumer's perspective, I agree, but from their perspective, they probably want them all sitting on pallets together and out of the way, vs distributing them to their local hubs across the country, where they'd then have to be picked and put aside anyways.
