Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note7 Ordering & Shipping Information

I paid for overnight and my scheduled delivery is Thursday by 3pm

Probably should ask for credit for the difference if arrived on the 8/19 availability date.

Just 3 more days i keep telling myself my phone has been in linwood pa since yesterday I ordered mines on 8/06 in Blue Coral Have a few brand new cases and now just waiting.... and waiting (cricket noises in the backround)

They charged me on the 14th and got the infamous text. No shipping or tracking info yet. Called Verizon and rep. Told me the charge for preorders as far as tax goes (edge plan) is common before hand, and that my order will ship on the 19th, possibly sooner. I told her if i don't have a track # by 17th, im cancelling on the 18th, and going to the store. I informed her that i had called for the preorder to make sure by19th because I won't be here to sign and when i ordered it guaranteed delivery on or before 19th...ridiculous

Well supposedly, by the rep I spoke to, they are sending that info to Fedex this morning..not sure how true that is but we will see

While we are all waiting, can someone tell me why, when using USB cable on the Note 5 hooked up to a computer, that I need to change USB mode from 'charging' to 'transfer file mode'? Why can't it just do it without me choosing. Will Type C on the Note 7 fix this so it just works for everything? If so, one more thing to look forward to.

Ok, I ordered black on 8/9 and I got my notification this morning. Right now at for delivery by 3 pm 8/18. I can't be at home, so I hope a signature on the door will suffice. Otherwise I get it Friday.

This has been my biggest pet peeve of owning a Samsung phone (starting with the S4.) Why there hasn't been a setting in the phone to default to file transfer instead of CD installer (or whatever that was) or charging has baffled me.

Staying on topic, my phone has also been touring Memphis the past 24 hours as well. I don't get why they don't release the phones and make receiving it early a perk of preordering. There really is no incentive of preordering. The gifts can still be obtained by purchasing day 1 of release from the store. With the number of Verizon stores and stock, not getting one day 1 from the store is pretty slim. Other than saving a trip to the Verizon store, the preordering is pointless.

I am just glad the work week goes fast for me. I am usually always busy at my job and the work day is over with before I know it. I am even more excited for this Friday! Only downfall is i have to drive 40 min to my parents house to pick up my Note 7... I work days and my parents are retired so anything that needs a signature I send to their house that way i know for sure someone will be home.
We will make it peeps! we are closer to our phones today then we were last week!

Sign into your Verizon account from a computer (not phone) and check your orders. That is how I first found mine.

For fun, I pulled up Google maps and found the FedEx ship center in Linwood, PA (where my onyx N7 sits).

I think the street the ship center is on explains a lot.
