Verizon shipping Droid X Early?

Again this just confirms that those that are receiving Droid X's early, are disgruntled Incredible (or at least patiently waiting) owners.

Yea, I've talked to CSR's, the only think is I have never noted that I am not the primary line so I wasn't sure if there was a stipulation that excluded non-primaries or anything, which I am pretty sure there isn't.

If you're planning on ordering online, you might want to make sure that the phones are priced at the 2yr contract price when you go to upgrade your line. Mine wasn't so I contacted Verizon and by the end of the day all the phones were showing their correct price.

I just got off the phone with verizonwireless and asked them if they can changed my
NE2 date from july 25 to july 15 and she said no, I asked to speak to a supervisor and one came on the phone ans he said no I explained that other people we having there date changed to the 15th of july. He said he could change it for me HOWEVER I would loose the 100.00 additional credit. SO I said never mind I will wait till july 25th. He also said there will be plenty in stock of droid x they wont have a problem like the incredible thats why they are no taking preorders or not having a waiting list. I had heardm this from two other sales managers at two other verizon stores..

Just called VZW in Providence RI and I got put on a waiting list (I'm 4th in line) to get my X. The reps said she is going to call me on the 14th to let me know the phone is there ad that I can come pick it up during normal business hours at the store.

I have the original Storm and 3 lines under my account so they may have helped me. I also did not mention the X on my 3rd attempt just that my storm 1 was driving me nuts!

I would try again tomorrow or the day after.

This is really unfair that they won't sell me an X now when so many other ppl have them already. I've been with VZW for 5 or 6 years now and this has me thinking of switching to another company.

So u should be treated special since u've been with Verizon 5 or 6 years? A few got out early.....thats life! I pay more to Verizon than I do for my new car.....should I get mine before someone that has one line, and pays 60bux....no i shouldn't! Are we so spoiled we can't wait 7 days? I want mine now also, but I'm not going to whine, and cry and tell Verizon I'm leaving.......I mean dang.....can't we grow up? Any who.......I can't wait till the 15th....I just had to reactivate my Imagio, and I can't hardlly stand it!!!!

Pre-Shipped Droid X

I work for Verizon (call center) not store, and actually I came across this issue at work today where a customer did have a Droid X....yes a Droid X active on his account, and I did ask him about this phenomenon obviously, and he just casually said that when he initially called in to pre-order the phone, he was happily surprised to recieve the device within a few days of the intial order. So I suppose if your Lucky Enough to get a sales rep willing to pre-order your the Droid X....kudos......no joke

So Im on day 3 with my DroidX... moving from the BB it took a bit to get used to Android, but I think I can say Im in love... I unplugged my X around 7AM this morning, its almost midnight now and the battery is just barley under half full, I am very pleasantly surprised, because as the new hasnt worn off yet, Ive been surfing and texting and downloading all day, with the exception of the phone being off for taxi <10K feet on a plane today... I even used the Wifi hotspot feature for about 10 minutes.

Another thing that I am unexpectedly loving is Swype... its awesome and misspells words less often than I do typing on the regular input...

The camera is pretty cool and lets you adjust exposure when taking pictures, the panorama feature is pretty amazing too... another feature Ididnt expect was that you can apply effects (coloring, brightness, contrast) to a photo after its been taken, and insert text thought bubbles or clipart into the picture.

DLNA is amazing, after I figured it out it makes moving files so much easier...

The only drawback Ive noticed so far is the speakerphone, both times I have used it the person on the other end said they couldn't hear me well while I was on speaker phone.

So yeah... just wanted to share some more in my discovery of the DroidX.. I dont doubt you will all love it... and good to see some other people got in on the "loophole" and are getting theirs early! To those who haven't, not to worry, its so worth the wait of the next few days....
