Verizon to release customized version of the ONE?

Nope. The Verizon one will have the same specs. There were some specs floating around from a standards certification.

Except the Verizon would have a 5" screen, so that would make it Verizon's custom version.

Except it won't, because we've already seen it standards certified with a 4.7 inch screen.

Also, htc is only working on a successor to the Butterfly, not the DNA. The DNA was commissioned by Verizon, and they okayd htc selling it to kddi. Given the strong sales of the Butterfly in Asia, they decided it needed a successor. Verizon is not involved in that new device in any way.

Could that spec sheet probably be the One that China is getting? It did say it was going to have an sd card slot if I remember correctly. Anyway I dont see any way htc releases the one on verizon because they will absolutely kill all the droid dna sales. A rebranded droid dna with similar specs is what I'm expecting.

I'm convinced it's not a One as well. HTC is making a Butterfly/DNA 2 this year and it makes all the sense in the world that it'll be the phone Verizon gets to keep up the DNA series, otherwise Verizon could've launched the One with everyone else. Standards certified be damned.

Verizon is not involved in the Butterfly 2 in any way.

I haven't heard of anyone I know that needs 64GB plus. All buy two people I know with iPhones have the 16. Two have the 32 but that was only because they needed a phone and Verizon didn't have the 16 in stock right then. In my old Thunderbolt I had 8 internal and a 32 sd card, and never had more than 20GB on it. My Gnex with Verizon had 32 and never used more than about 18, and now my 16GB Nexus 4 hasn't gone over 8GB used. I don't stream anything and I don't see a need to have movies and thousands of songs with me at all times, nor do I need to store hundreds or thousands of pics either. I would be willing to say 75% of people don't need or use more than 32GB, and most are fine with 16 on a phone. Even the iPhone 4s that had the 64 option didn't sell that great, most 4s's sold were the 16GB.

But yet the HTC Haters have to find a way to discredit there wonderful phones,and i agree most consumers do not need extreme storage or removable batteries,My DNA does everything for my needs,in my opinion the most important part is performance and screen clarity and HTC has me covered,Samsung and AMLOD has failed to impress me in this category.

im guessing that Verizon just hasnt announced it yet because they want all the droid dna stock sold first. once they announce it for verizon they will probably discontinue the dna or maybe keep it, since htc has arleady announced a butterfly successor. im hoping itll be a droid one, with red and black accents. how awesome would that be. however it does seem to complicate things since one rumor says it will be a 5 inch screen while others say itll be a 4.7 inch screen... so who really knows whats going on.
