Verizon Update -- Does Anyone Know What It Is For?

You can have two partitions and not support seamless updates. Samsung chose not to support this. In order to support project treble, you have to have two partitions as far as like the vendor stuff and the Google stuff. Here's an article where they even talk about using treble on the S9 over at XDA.

Interesting I thought easy way to know if you have two partitions if go into recovery and cant clear cache anymore as pixels and others dont because of A/B partition.

I think it's just dependent on how the partitions are set up. If they're setup for seamless updates then maybe not. But there are so many ways to do partitions. It's just very complicated. I try not to think about it too much lol.

I hear you , thanks for info, thought they where the same so there's actually more to them then I thought.
