Verizon version on Tmobile?

Anybody have any luck using a Verizon S8 on Tmobile? Looking to get one at Best Buy and they don't carry the Tmobile version. Curious if it has the same bands or not.

Just curious why you want a Verizon model if you're gonna use it on T-Mobile? Why not wait for the unlock model if you want to bring to any network you want. I know the Iphone is unlocked if you buy it on Verizon but I'm not sure if that's true for the S8.

Because the unlocked model isn't available yet.

If you're going on T-Mobile why not use T-Mobile's S8? The only way to find out for sure is to ask T-Mobile otherwise you may get stuck with the restocking fee if Best Buy has one.

I can't say for sure that it will work, but both the Note 5 and S7 from Verizon do. I used my Verizon S7 on Tmobile prepaid for nearly 6 months, worked fine and seemed to have no problems with towers.

However I wouldn't recommend it, without Verizon service you won't get updates. I had to put mine back on Verizon to get nougat, even the monthly security updates won't come.

It'll work. The GSM isn't locked, so that part will work. I don't know about LTE though. T-Mobile uses different LTE bans than Verizon. Worst case would be HSPA+ instead of LTE.

Updates will be problematic though.
