Verizon will call it the Nexus Prime !

Uhh, If the flyer was made weeks in advanced, how the did they get a picture of a rezound on the flyer, when there was none available. Your stupid. Pay attention next time.

Not very mature, bud. That wasn't necessary. If overlooking something makes you stupid then we all are.

Long story short. We have advertising from third party. A third party who has made mistakes in the past. Verizon has already announced the phone and its name. It wouldn't make marketing sense for Samsung to call the phone Nexus Prime. If Verizon changed the name they'd add Droid.

Looks like a copy mistake.

Besides, if they were going to go through all the trouble of rebranding/renaming the device, wouldn't they likely go with something with the "Droid" moniker? Would prove to be more valuable in terms of sales/promotion for the same amount of work.

Best Buy just hasn't updated their stuff. It is Galaxy Nexus everywhere else...on Verizon's site, in their press release, e-mail signup page, on Google's site, on Google Ads all over the internet.

No way they would change the name of it, especially considering it is the exclusive launch carrier of the Nexus in the USA.

The only thing you have to remember is the Thunderboat adds. BB printed incorrect adds for at least a month. I don't put much stock in these.

I used to work at best buy years ago and I remember a few times where adds were tossed out a week out . We had very little or no adds in the store that week. That is what I suspect this add is,a reject add.

What about the gsm version in the shooper say something about a sim free version?

This is pretty funny. This possible goof up may be a direct reflection of how Verizon is handling this product and it's confusion is beginning to trickle down to re-sellers.

Who knows....

Can I have my Nexus now?

Or... all the copy was completed long before the images were available. I'm a coordinator in a marketing department. The copy is usually completed long before all the graphic work.

And you guys are notorious for waiting till the last minute to get anything printed and then expect projects to be completed yesterday. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

although i dont believe they will go with Nexus Prime as a launch name like everyone else has said...you have to wonder why Best Buy would even put that on an ad in the first place. Everyone and their mother knew it was just the codename when we started hearing rumors about it months ago. I dont see why they would actually send the thing to a printer, then to stores unless it was a huge mistake ooooooorrrrrrrr if they actually knew something about the moniker that we dont know yet.

Please forgive me for not knowing for sure, but when verizon finally got a samsung galaxy S2 version, didnt they not call it that? just gave it a one word name. Again i dont think they will call this a Prime, but you have to wonder how this sequence of mistakes has taken place.

If I am not mistaken, Dec 1st is the date of the ad, not the release of the device. I don't think the device will launch on the 1st.

but if it is coming out on the 1st( the ad) and it does not say coming soon next to the phone it would mean the phone is out by the time the ad comes out.

Yea that ad has to be in a couple of weeks. Our next ad will be released on wednesday i think. So if that ad doesn't have black friday deals, it's for december.

its not a couple of weeks its this week that add will come out, you will have a add on turkey day and a add on sunday like always

This is good news - this is how Verizon can have an "exclusive" and the rest of us can get a GSM Galaxy Nexus, because no one else will have the Prime :)
