Verizon will NEVER have Pixel XL 128GB in corporate stores

Sorry, this is one of those "a Verizon rep told me" stories, but in this case it came from the store manager. I went into this same store Thursday (launch day) and was told they didn't have any 128 XLs and the quickest way to get one is to order from Verizon, which I did and have an 11/18 ship date. Went in today to "play" with the display models and the manager, who I have worked with before, came to talk to me about them. He said they were disappointed they didn't get any 128 XLs on launch day, and after checking with corporate he said they will NEVER have any in stores. Said it was some agreement with Google for online only. Again, he may not know what he's talking about, but thought I would pass it on in case anyone was waiting like me for it to come to stores. He said they never had any prior notice of this.

I've seen a couple of those posts and when asked about it they never came back to answer, or said they saw them and went back and they were sold out. I certainly don't know if this is true or not. Maybe someone can verify they actually bought a 128 from a Verizon corporate store. I thought Joe also said corporate stores didn't get them at all yet.

We got in a few 128s on Friday. That manager was getting the Blue mixed up with the rest.

Was this from a "store manager" or the "general manager" of the store? From my experience thus far, unfortunately "store managers" usually are just normal reps who have more responsibilities. For the most accurate info, I'd speak with a "general manager." Those folks are usually more knowledgeable and level headed over regular reps and store managers.

The title on his name badge said Solutions Manager. As Joe posted above, he could be confused about the blue which will not be sold in the 128. Anyway, mine is coming on 11-18.
