Verizon Wireless really hates the rezound.

I definitely don't skimp on screen brightness... it's always pegged at 90% (I'd go 100% brightness but I'm afraid of burn-on... lolwut?) The screen is too friggin' gorgeous to throttle.

Outside of the ics issue, I got this phone for its pluses and accept the minus. I don't throttle anything regardless of battery. Full bright, Tapatalk and Web all day.... I even made a phone call once. Do I have a cord at the office, the pizza shop, in the car and at home. Yep, but I accept that. Hell, they will even plug it in at the bar for me if I am on a day long marathon, usually football related.

From my XxX rated Rezound

I got a portable battery for the football season plus got a new HD tv for the house .. i'm good thier!

lol....yeah they do, but you will not get a GSIII at this point. In September you might be able to.

because of various issues, many of us have been upgraded to, and out of the rezound. Right now the Maxx seems to be where VZW and the masses are trending towards

I hate to say this, but you bought that garbage.

I'd also like to know what "software issues" have been referred to twice in this thread already.

Perhaps I missed something from my GB days with the phone.

This. For purposes of doing s-off soon, I am back to stock unrooted and honestly this phone seems pretty damn good. Yes I know ICS has lots of new features but the "dual core support" doesnt show me an immediate improvement in anything. The only thing I have noticed that ICS seems to correct is my data signal drops which after reading a lot on boards not everyone has.

90% of the time people come to forums to complain or fix something so you can't get too upset when 547,090 threads pop up about anger and disgust over the ICS update.

Which has a better screen the gnex or the rezound?

Yea, I never noticed software of reception issues with my Rezound. I do recall a few complaints in threads here about the various mail clients, but nothing substantial (IE no more than isolated incidents)

Galaxy Nexus has better contrast (due to AMOLED), more vibrant colors, better viewing angles and a larger screen. However, the pentile subpixel arrangement results in a loss of sharpness, and whites appear to be grayish as well.

HTC Rezound is less vibrant (but not oversaturated), but has the sharpest screen of any phone in the world along with the Sony Xperia S, with 342 ppi on a 4.3 inch screen (in comparison, iPhone 4/4S Retina Display is 329 ppi on a 3.5 inch screen). Black colors appear to be light black rather than actual black because of the SLCD.

Well, I like mine but there are some issues.
With the out-of-the-box OS, the GPS navagation app worked fine except it drained the battery faster than the phone would charge it. The OS figured that as long as the phone was hooked to an external power supply, the problem was addressed and it didn't need to warn me about the dwindling battery.
Well, the battery went dead while I was using the GPS. Deader than NIMH batteries are supposed to be allowed to get. Deader than dead. The guy at the Verizon store thought the phone was bricked. I charged it for 3 days, then played around with it for a half hour and got it running again.
Recently, I upgraded to ICS and was anxious to try out the trip navigation. The phone would reboot after only 5 seconds of GPS navigation. I found out that ICS on a Rezound wasn't compatible with the latest GoogleMaps. So that problem was solved by un-installing all the updates for GoogleMaps.
So, I go on this trip and 3 hours into it, ICS pops a message on the screen that says I have to turn the phone off because it is using power faster than the phone is able to charge thebattery. At least I got a warning this time.

Here's my take on who will like what:

Rezound: People that want a solid device and don't upgrade every 5 seconds

RAZR / Maxx: People that want to believe that they actually get better battery life than the Rezound and don't mind their eyes bleeding

GNex: Flashaholics

SGS3: Pretty much everyone else(also including the above people)

Seriously the SGS3 combines bits and pieces of all of the above. It's also the newest so it should be the best. There's just no point in saying Verizon hates this and Verizon hates that because as long as you give them money Verizon loves whatever you do. They just don't want to spend theirs to care about your software upgrade. Which is also why we should do away with OTA's, make them all manual downloads from the manufacturer. I guarantee the Rezound would've had ICS by February/March rather than August(Or whenever it was I can't remember)

I lol'd @ flashaholics.

why is this still on the forum? The Rezound has ICS now and it is awesome.
My corporate stores don't bash the rezound. I don't think reps should bash a phone, they represent them all. Its unprofessional. If they don't like a phone, there are better words they can use to suggest other devices, but if a customer wants a certain device they should praise the choice and engage the customer and be happy for the customer. Don't bash a phone just cause they don't like it. I got out of BB and into Android but when I sold wireless I still engaged those that wanted BB I never let a customer think they were making a bad choice. It is personal preference and again, it is customer service.........

That all maybe be well and good but the straight up point is that when you walk into the store and have an 'idea' of what you want, the reps will steer you to an I phone or the latest android. The rez, wouldn't even get an honorable mention at this point
