Interesting, I live in West Hills and have not noticed XLTE yet in my area or in Woodland Hills. I'm guessing it displays "XLTE" up in the notification area when connected at "XLTE"?

There is no xlte indicator. You can determine based on speed. Any download over 72mbps or upload over 20mbps should be xlte
