Verizon's HTC Incredible 4G LTE WiFi Problem

My phone is Verizon's HTC Incredible 4G LTE. When I have Wifi enabled, and connect to it (such as at my home), then go out of range, my phone does not automatically switch to using data. It stays stuck on Wifi (it says it is connected to my home network even when I am 30 miles away at work) until I disable Wifi. After I disable Wifi, the phone will switch to data, and I can enable Wifi again and the phone will continue to use data. This is annoying because I don't get notifications unless I remember to toggle the Wifi, every single time I leave my house. Anyone having this issue? Any solutions?

Welcome to Android Central! That's odd. Go to Settings>Wi-fi, tap the Menu button, and then Advanced, and see what settings are there. If there's something like "Avoid weak signals," check that on to see if it helps.

What options are there in the Advanced Wi-Fi settings?

If you can't find anything there that helps, you may want to consider a factory data reset. Of course, that will wipe the phone, so you'd have to backup your data first.

Uncheck "Best Wi-fi Performance" and "Never Auto Turn On Wi-fi," if they're already checked, and see if that helps.
