Verizon's TV commercials claim Pixel only available on Verizon. Isn't that false advertising?

Don't know the TV spot, but looking at their site...

It's the trade-in savings that allows them to substantiate their claim.

It's easy to infer that they're the only source at all, but that's not technically what they're saying.

Not to poke fun at Verizon (I use them for my hotspot service), but I did get a laugh at how they're touting their having the highest peak speeds on their LTE-A network. Fastest theoretical speeds are nice and all, but the practicalityy of it is that people can't rely on peak speeds they'll likely never see except at 4am in remote areas... Fastest average speed is a much more appreciated stat.

This.

Will AT&T ever sell the Verizon version of Pixel?

Well, AT&T won't sell a Pixel loaded with Verizon's bloatware... Typically when a carrier orchestrates a deal with a manufacturer for exclusivity, it's for a fixed period of time (usually at least 6 months), so it'll be a bit before that could happen. So basically, if you're wanting to do a 'trade-in' program through AT&T, you're out of luck. Of course, you could finance the phone through Google and just outright sell your existing phone and probably come out the same (or better, in many cases).

Yup, Verizon is the only US carrier who's going to sell the Pixel through the carrier themselves. Everybody else has to go through the Google Store, or other similar avenues.
