versus touchpad 9 - recover email lost from outbox

I have just started using Versus Touchpad 9. I had an email in my hotmail outbox that wouldn't send. In fact it had stopped receieiving emails too, so I followed the user guide instructions and updated the touchpad's date & time setting. This fixed the problem of sending/receiiving emails but the email I had in my outbox has dissappeared. Is there any chance of getting it back?
