Vertical camera pics show up sideways in instagram & emails

When I take a picture with the camera in vertical position and then email the picture or upload it into Instagram it shows up sideways/ landscape.I did a firmware update and it fixed the issue. I just noticed that the problem has come back about 3 weeks after I did the update.is there any kind of setting that I can do to fix this issue?

Its the way the camera is I believe. Same issues happened on the s2, s3; least for me. Perhaps this was changed on the s4? I hardly send or take pictures but is it instagram only doing this?

I am having the SAME problem with ALL photos being sideways EVERYWHERE, INCLUDING transferring them to the computer if taken in portrait mode!!!
