Very buggy, daily software updates??

Rooted 2.2 user and I'm getting software updates every day, sometimes every time I unlock the phone. When I update, nothing happens; it's driving me crazy. Sometimes it'll foreclose apps, keyboard stops working, calls random people..... I'm thinking I need to go back to 2.1 and update again, but does anyone have any ideas??

Using root explore from the Market locate /etc/security/otacerts.zip and change it to otacerts.bak"). Cheers!

there's also a copy of otacerts.zip in /system/etc/security, so it might be a good idea to rename that file too.

i tried renaming the file, but it says "read only rights", should i delete it? I don't think I'll be able to do either.
