Question Very low 'recording' volume

This is about recording volume, not playback. Whatever app I use, the recorded audio is extremely low, barely audible. If I speak loudly up close to the mic then it is almost usable but otherwise hopeless. Playback, ringtones etc are fine.

I can't find any recording volume control anywhere on my Android 13 on a cheap Chinese ripoff called "Cubot P80"

I know it is a cheap clone, but in all other respects it is great value and everything works. The Android appears genuine v13.

Any ideas appreciated!

That sounds like all you are going to get. There's a reason those Chinese knock offs are cheap, sub par parts.

Can try safe mode and make sure the mic is clear from any debris
