Very strange issue just started

I'm not quite sure what to make of this, and I can't grab a screenshot of it happening, but I am getting a red band all the way around the main screen when ever I double tap to close my screen while on Nova and at times while on the stock launcher. It also happens at times while I am typing not only on the stock keyboard but also SwiftKey.

Any suggestions?

Has the screen been damaged in any way, did you drop it, smash it like crazy in your favorite game, or something?

Nope..will try a factory reset and see if this helps

Well a factory reset helped.. Royal pita to have to do this and makes me worried that something is going wonky with the screen

If there is something wrong with the screen, a factory reset wouldn't really help. I'd guess an app or an recent app update cause it. I know Nova had a rather big update recently...

Your right.. Probably a rouge app.

Everything seems to be running well again.. Actually a little bit better IMHO.
