Hugely tempted to upgrade right now from my trusty and phenomenol N9 to the N20U 256 (UK). The Samsung site doesn't specify that it's the dual (hybrid) SIM version which is a must for me, but from what I gather, that is the model on sale from them in the UK.

Could any UK owners confirm that's the case? Also, is free beans a thing of the past (only for ppl that pre-ordered)? If so, I'm kicking myself. I'd order it now if it came with beans. To be honest, I'll probably order it anyway. Looks like a very sweet upgrade

I'm in Ireland and we usually get exact same version as UK and mine is dual sim + an eSim

Excellent, thanks
I really like the way the Samsung software handles 2 SIMs. On the N9, I have my personal and work SIMs installed and have both running during work time and turn off the work one (mostly) at the end of my working day.
With 256GB, I won't need an SD Card.

You're not concerned about the Exynos issue? I mean not a defect but if you have a Note 10+ I would say a barely year old phone I wouldn't recommend upgrade. But the 9 could definitely hold it's own another year and next year you have the rumored super Exynos chip.

Good point and the N9 could easily see me through another year, except that I’d promised it to my son about this time and he hasn’t forgotten! I figure the N20U brings some major improvements, so it’s worth the upgrade. Basically, I need a new phone now that’s good enough to hold its own for a couple of years - just like the N9 did. I don’t think I’ll be disappointed with the current Exynos chip, not for my uses. I like a fast phone, which it will be, and I doubt I’ll be loading the processor much at all.

I think we should take a leaf out of Flossy Carter's book and 'Calm Down' about the rumoured spec for next year, look what we ended up with this year after lots of Exynos 992 rumours.
I can't see Exynos turning it around in the space of 6 months for the S21 unless they just couldn't get it out quickly enough for this Note 20.

Well gotta take care of priorities (son :)) so honestly that's a good enough reason. I gotta daughter so I understand. Just get it at a reasonable price.

So true! Actually, it’s quite fortunate that the N20U is so good. Don’t know what I’d have done if it was yet another minor iteration upgrade as we’ve seen in smartphone world for too long lately.
As for Junior, he’s getting an iconic classic and in absolute mint condition, too. Luckily he’s pretty good at taking care of gadgets - I couldn’t bear to see it covered in scuffs and scratches!
