Verzon Galaxy Note 3 - videos

when the motorola maxx come out, I went to verizon and bought myself one. 12 days ago I went back to verizon and bought myself a samsung note 3, I love my note 3. I gave my maxx to my wife. Last night I was watching you tube videos on both side by side, on HD videos they looked about the same, on videos that were not HD, the maxx looked some what better, with better color and more clear. Is this because of my screen size. Thanks for all replys.
