vga touch screen monitor

I have a vga touchscreen (I think it's about a 7" screen, I bought it a couple years ago) in my car. It's sweet, I currently have an old dell D620 connected to it in the trunk. It has a usb cable and a vga cable. I think (though I won't swear to it) that if I can find an adapter which has both inputs (and from what I've seen, all the adapters require some kind of charger connection for the vga to work)I should be able to have a giant version of my S5 screen on the dash of my car and run it through my amp. My question is, has anybody hooked up a touchscreen to their S5? Does anyone know where I might get such an adapter? Do you guys think it will ork?

Welcome to Android Central! I would guess that your biggest problem would be trying to duplicate the 2560x1440 display on a 640x480 VGA monitor.
