Viber and bluetooth

Jabra easy go on Samsung galaxy note 3. No avail on viber. Please help

Hi,
This is a known issue and we're looking into it at the moment.

We are about to release a brand new version (Viber 4.0) soon. When it's available, please try it out with Jabra, and let us know if the problem persists. If it does, we will assist you further :)
 
Hallo Viber R&D,
Once again after a long time. today I have updated HTC ONE to android 4.3 & Sense 5.5. Now once again a very unique Bluetooth has spring up. When you call some one thru VIBER app the blue tooth in car functions only until it Rings . Once call answered the call is switched over to the fon.
I think it is time once again that VIBER gets into action & resolve. is it something to do with MTP? which is a new add on to Android 4.3?.

I am having problem with my Galaxy Note3 and Bose AE2W bluetooth headset. When I receive a call or call someone, I can't hear anything on my bluetooth headset , instead the earpice on the phone is activated.

Is this a problem specific to Viber? in other words, are you getting the same behavior from other apps that have similar characteristics?

Thank you for your prombt response. Yes, this is Viber specific, since I uninstalled Viber everything works fine. I connect to my bluetooth headset with no problem and also my phone connects to my car without any problem. My wife has the same make and model phone as I do and she has the same exact problem! I did create a ticket with the link you provided and did mention "Technical Forum" on the channel question.

Note that not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with third-party applications (meaning, they might work with cellular calls, but not with applications).
However, we are aware of the problem with Bluetooth on some devices with Viber, and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience caused.We plan to fix Viber's incompatibility with Bluetooth on those devices hopefully soon, and we will keep you posted once we have news.

I am trying to use viber on note 3 with different brand of bluetooth headset and did not work.I could hearing ringing tone from bluetooth headsets but it went silence when it connected to the other side.Nothing could be heard from other side until switch off the bluetooth headset and went back to basic phone's micro phone and speaker.It did not happen when I was using iphone before.Sometime,people from other side said that they could hear very faint sound.But nothing at all from my side.Hope this information might help to resolve the issue.I tested with basic phones feathure like speaker sound by playing music,video.It works fine.I even tested with skype to skype with bluetooth headset on the same phone.No problem at all with other app like skype.May be your app itself has a flaw or viber server has a problem.Pls don't mind about mentioning what I thought was not functioning right.Thank you viber support team and hope you all can come up with an prompt answer.I was even thinking of returning and buying more different bluetooth headset to verify.I tried samsung and plantronic brand bluetooth headsets so far.

I am using Nexus 4 phone with the latest Viber version 4.0.0. I am connecting my phone through bluetooth using JBL Micro wireless speaker. The wi-fi speaker works fine with the stored music, video files on the phone but when there is a call placed using viber or an incoming call through viber it automatically switches back to the phone's speaker. I did not find any method to use the connected wi-fi speaker with viber. However, if the speaker is connected with the 3.5mm audio cable to the phone, viber works just fine. So, there seems to be a problem with wi-fi speaker & my nexus 4 ph.

Pls advise.

its 2014 and still viber dont work with bt devices !!!!!!its been 4 years for crying out loud what the hell you guys working at !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
People (and Khalid specifically///) Viber is a FREE app, allowing us communication over the Internet for FREE!!!.

It's availability is kindly provided by a Team that asks you for NO MONEY, but try to respond to requests and provide features to make it easier for us to stay in touch with the world. There is NO NEED for some of the patronising, offensive and condescending comments aimed at the developers.

I have a galaxy note 3 I try to use viber while driving car through BT system but I can't. There's no option for BT headset to select instead of speaker.
I had an iphone 4s before and viber was working great through BT.
Can't you just do the same for android since you are the same viber application developers?

Hi! I have a problem with my viber contacts. (Samsung Galaxy Core Duos - with one sim only)

After installing the Viber app, I see the contacts are duplicated at all parts (viber/all contacts/viber out). If I delete any of them from the part "viber", it will also be deleted from my phone contacts or sim card depending on which is deleted (if the 1st - then from phone list, if the 2nd - then from my sim).

I've tried all type of settings in Viber, but no solution.. I keep all duplicated contacts, or I delete any, but in this case contacts will also be getting deleleted from my phone list or sim.

I would be very appreciated if you could tell me the reason or what to do.
