vibrate setting not working...at all

I purchased my HTC Evo Design about a week ago. everything was fine until I woke up this morning and noticed my phone wasn't vibrating anymore. it won't even vibrate on the ringer settings. this is extremely annoying because I keep my phone on vibrate all the time. I tried unchecking the box for vibrate settings. I downloaded sound manager, didn't work. pulled out the battery. I haven't tried to reset the whole phone and wipe out everything, kinda trying to avoid that since I'm not sure that will even work. has anyone experienced this same situation? was there any recovery or did you have to send it in for repair?

sounds like a hardware issue. Did you get the phone new or used?

I got it brand new in the box from a friend. I'm going to send it in. i hope it doesn't take too long being that its only a vibrating issue
