Vibration feedback issues

Another day, another question... This has sure been a bumpy changeover to a new device (is Samsung always this glitchy?)

My FE's touch vibration was so strong when I got it it was practically obscene, so I turned it down (it was not only powerful but LOUD - it was laughable).

Today, haptic feedback is all but gone. All settings are on max, but it's barely there. Notifications are LOUD and powerful, but "touch feedback' isn't. I've checked it in my keyboard settings as well as general settings, and it's on max (but feels more like the other two at the bottom end). I've selected every possible option I can find for touch, and they're all set to max.

Where else can I look? Obviously a software setting since the motor for sure works. No idea what system files to check to figure out how to turn it back on to a reasonable level.

Thanks again!

Hi check here under volume, system slider Screenshot_20210428-200642_Settings.jpg

That seems to be for sound? If volume is muted it's not even available.
Yeah if you have the toggle in the notifications panel to mute instead of vibration or sound you get almost no vibration feedback , but try changing vibration patternScreenshot_20210428-215011_Settings.jpg

I'm confused - there are no choices of pattern for touch feedback (and the settings slider you screenshot is grayed out). Again, notifications work fine, it's keyboard touch that's underpowered.

Ahh maybe the FE doesn't have that option for pattern, this on my Note20U , those bottom slider are greyed out because I leave ringtone slider off

I have pattern choices for notifications. But how could you have them for key presses (which is what I'm trying to adjust)? It would make typing a nightmare to have zigzag (or whatever) lol

Screenshots below :)

Change the notification to zig zig also

Changed. Makes absolutely no difference to typing and button feedback strength - feels the same.

Now that I'm going through this with you , it's not powerful typing but if you go back and erase as typing it's noticeable , notification incoming is very strong , not sure about the keyboard maybe try a different one like Google?

It's not great with any of the buttons. I'm using SwiftKey which is actually the strongest of the 3 keyboards I have installed.

Whats weird to me is that out of the box it was much stronger. I wonder if this an Android 11 thing (I updated after I started using it?)

It's possible Samsung could of change something in updates

I'm beginning to think that's the case. SwiftKey gives me enough feedback I can live with it, but I will be curious to figure out why it changed :)
That will be hard to find out why , but you can go to Samsung members app and let them know.
