Hey guys... I sure this topic has been brought up multiple times. But I can't seem to find the answer to how to improve the recording audio quality on the Evo 4G. I'm sure there is no official fix for it. I thought the new 2.3.3 Gingerbread update would have improved it, but it didn't. I've never rooted the phone before. If there is a fix that requires rooting, I will be sure to do that. So does anyone know if there is some type of fix to it.

Thanks! :p

I don't have a slightest of idea if there is a fix, but to me it might just be a mic problem or what you are trying to record is just too loud.

Wow.. I can say after owning a few EVOS's - that I've never had that kind of problem before.

Before doing anything to your phone (Rooting will in no way fix the problem you mentioned) take the phone to a repair center to have a technician look at it first.

Best of luck.

The EVO 4G has had poor audio quality during video recording since day 1. No fix is coming.. That is just the mic used on the device.

I went to my second concert and the video quality is ok, but, the audio is really bad. Before start recording, I put down the volumn and still have bad sound. It has to be something with the microphone because it sounds like when the speakers are explode.

Is their any program that can be use to fix the video quality and audio?

what do you expect? Your recording concerts from the audience and expecting a cell phone to give great audio? Really not trying to be an ass, but get real.

Probably illegally too!

Don't jump to that conclusion. there are many bands that allow video recording of their live performances. Many.

That said, the EVO video sound recording is terrible. Always has been. the mic stinks and the bit rate for audio is terrible. It's the single worse thing about the phone. And the show doesn't have to be extremely loud for it to distort. I love my EVO but it is what I am looking forward to most in a new phone.
