Video calling apps use in call audio, which you cant hear without putting your ear to it

My samsung s9+ works perfectly fine and never had any issues. The only problem is when I try to make a video call, where it uses in call volume. You can only hear in call volume when you put the phone to your ear, but if you put the phone to your ear, you cover the camera and cant see the screen. If I can put it on speaker, or use media audio, it will work perfectly fine.
