Looking for no nonscense video editor, basically I need to edit a long video into segments and do some basic speed up/slow down segments within videos.......

You may not want to hear this but I have never had any good results using a android device to edit videos. I now use a PC with Sony Movie Studio. Most android devices just don't have the CPU power to edit 4 k videos.

However, there are video editors in the Play Store. Look for one that has good reviews and try it. Report back here with your results.

Been looking looking in Play Store and there are dozens, all seem to be poor design with emphasizes on making comedy videos at best, adding stupid stuff for people with no sense of taste or professionalism (editors for idiots).... May have to look into PC route, though my PC is old, like 12 years and still running XP....Beginning to find some new software won't even load on it....

Yes Dale, you will have to upgrade your PC if you want to edit todays videos. 4K stuff requires a better processor also. Although Vegas products create a proxy file that allows you to edit 4K stuff pretty easily. Vegas Movie Studio for the PC does a good job with not too much cash outlay.
