Video files not in DCIM folder

I cannot find the video files that should be in the DCIM/Camera folder. I can see all of the JPEG files just fine. The videos are in the device, as I can play them through the stock Gallery application. I checked the details on the video files, and they are located in extSDCard/DCIM/Camera, as I would suspect. But when I open the folder, only the JPEG files appear. Any ideas?

Its some bug of some sort. I havent read about a reason but the only solution ive seen elsewhere was to do what you did, wipe and reflash

Interestingly enough, I tried removing the card, inserting it into the PC and voila - the MP4 files appeared. Problem solved, but it does seem to be some kind of bug.
