The MSM8660 killed the Tegra 2.
AnandTech - Dual Core Snapdragon GPU Performance Explored - 1.5 GHz MSM8660 and Adreno 220 Benchmarks
Which in turn offers similar performance to the Exynos.
Then in other benchmarks...the SG2 BARELY beats the EVO 3D/Sensation cpu.
Galaxy S II vs Qualcomm MDP vs G2x Dual-Core Battle of Quadrant Benchmark Doom | Android Community
Seems like the MDP unit of the MSM8660 offers WAY different performance then what is in the phones. Anandtech DID say it was optimized especially for this though.
I'm interested to see the benchmarks after a while of optimizations.
idk how much optimization has to do with it. these benchmarks are from a wvga device, which means a qHD device with the same chip will dow about 26% worse because of all the extra pixels it has to push.
That test unit they had also ran at 1.5 ghz.
wrong, its not overclocked. 1.5ghz is the real stock speed of the msm8660 and 8260, the sensation and evo 2D are underclocked.
I'm really disapointed in the preformance of the sensation and especially disapointed in the Evo 3D :'(
