Hello,
I own a Galaxy S II Epic, and my father owns an HTC EVO 4G LTE.
Both of us would like the ability to view video from our phones on other devices like our TVs. However, to save money, I'd prefer if we could get one cable to do it all.
My GSII supports video output from the micro usb port, but the EVO has a dedicated micro HDMI port.
I'd like to know if the EVO has the ability to output video from its micro usb port. (That way I can just buy a micro usb to HDMI cable for us both).

If not, what are some cheap solutions? Are there any cables that would work on both phones?
Thanks!

I'm guess you don't have a smart tv with WiFi? (if yo do there are free apps for that no wires needed)
If not you may find a Google tv dongel for $20 on eBay.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE doesn't have a micro HDMI on it, only the original EVO did. The LTE does output video via the micro USB port....

We only own one smart tv, so a cable solution would be best.
Thanks for the tip though, I'll give that a try in the meantime.

Oh, haha, my mistake.
My dad's not the most technically savvy person in the world, so I took his word when he said his new phone had a micro hdmi port too.

I guess that solves my problem.
I'll report back when everything is working. :)
