video play, network problem...

I seem to be running in to a video play issue with Google play app. I select a show or movie and then it loads for a sec then says network problem touch to try again. Only to say the same thing when retry. Doesn't matter if I turn nexus 7 off then back on. Anyone else have this problem? What do I do?!

Yes, not sure how widespread but impacts my Nexus 7 and Moto X.
