Video Quality watching Netflix

I just finished episode 9 of Narcos and noticed that during some of the darker scenes, the video quality looked a little washed out and the blacks were not very black. Is this normal for the Note 5 or is there a way to adjust it. The outdoor scenes during the day seemed to have good quality.

What was your Brightness setting at? If it was on Auto or higher than 50 percent then I'd say that is normal.

Streaming a video that was shot using who knows what technology and then streamed by Netflix and their compression technology to their app which gets updated and changed, leaves a lot of variables. Have you shot any videos with dark scenes on you phone and then watched them to compare?

No, I haven't tried that yet. I may try lowering the brightness when watching Netflix or HBO to see if it improves the video quality in dark scenes.
