So I was video recording last night at around 8:00 PM (I'm from the west coast) when the sun was about to set. I was video recording a couple friends playing Ladder Ball and as I was recording I would follow their toss to the rack which was really dark. My friends were standing by a light so they were clear but as I followed their toss to the ladder where it was dark it would start to dim and turn to almost black, it wasn't for the first second or two but it would automatically turn to black after a full second.

Sorry this might be confusing to you guys but I'm not very good with camera settings so I don't know what I did wrong, I even tried to change the mode to "night" and it would still fade to black. Is there a setting I need to use to avoid the camera fading to black?

Anybody? It's really weird because for the first second or two it's really clear and bright when I'm shooting but it starts to fade to black and it's to a point where you can't see anything.

I don't know if it would address your situation, but maybe turning off auto brightness would help?

It was off already so I tried to turn it on to see it would help and it's doing the same thing =(.
