video through wireless tether???

As stated before, I am a premie newbie, so I hope this question doesn't cause too many eye rolls. My girlfriend has recently acquired an Evo shift and an iPad2; she would like to wirelessly tether the iPad to the Shift to watch Netflix, among other things. So, being too anxious to attempt a perm root, I followed Big D5's instructions for the temp root using Visionary and Wireless Tether. That works fine, I get rooted, but videos are impossible to watch. They load, but just lag horribly. I get a few seconds of video then have to wait forever to get the next few seconds. Is it even possible to use wireless tether for this purpose? If so, what do I need to do? I have made no changes to the phone.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You might have a hard time watching Netflix if your over 3g. The speeds just arent fast enough to handle it. You shouldn't have any problems with youtube but netflix requires a fast connection. If you have 4g in your area then you might have a little better chance.

I am a pro at this question since all I do at work is watch Netflix on my iPod. The answer is yes, but only if you have either a)full 3g service, or b) at least one bar of 4g. I use the 3g option and I am able to watch numerous hours of Netflix with no inturrupton.

I have tried this with my laptop on the other hand and sadly it is just too difficult to use Netflix while tethering. The CPU just tries to drain so much more network than you can offer, so if using a big device such as laptop or desktop use 4g and hope you have full signal.

Update: When I first tried this I did it with the 4G running (and we are in a 4G area), that's when I got the crappy results. Then I did it with the 3G and the Netflix worked fine. Go figure?!?

That's not surprising, I take it your indoors. For me Wimax is usually non exexistent if I'm indoors, unless I'm close a large window.
