Chances are, if you're watching Unbox Therapy, you're probably subscribed to other reviewers like MrWhostheBoss, amongst others. Anyway, that sucks that Lew has to create a video to EXPLAIN sarcasm, reviewing his video and having to pause every few seconds and apologize or walk people through the intent behind his actions or words.

The irony is that if you've heard about the Escobar Fold, then you're probably not a novice or newbie when it comes to the world of tech...and yet people are acting exactly like that, crying that Lew is misleading or making anyone buy something. You know enough about tech to have heard about the phone, but all of a sudden don't know enough to do your own research or watch other reviews?

Anyway, I just had to put that out there because I find it unbelievable that in this day and age, people are so gullible and so willing to throw caution to the wind when they think they're getting something too good to be true, but then blame someone else when it literally turns out to be too good to be true.

This is what happens when you hand out participation trophies. I wouldn't have made the video, let the idiots be idiotic and watch their Olivia Jade videos.

I don't mind him making this clarification video. If he feels like he needs to clarify some things to a part of his viewers, then he's free to do so. I suppose not all of his viewers are tech savvy enough to clearly see how suspicious this Escobar Fold is. Some may have overreacted over the original video, but seems like another group of people is now also overreacting over him making this clarification video.

It bothers me that someone can work so hard on a product, and based simply on the fact that people can't either think for themselves, don't have a sense of humor, or already think he's a villain, here's got to make a step by step follow up video on his actual intent, purpose and reason behind everything he says and does in the initial video. Would you want to justify, to that extent, any piece of work you created to perfect strangers?

Depends on the situation. If multiple people misunderstood that work I made, and/or if this confusion could possibly negatively impact a part of my audience, I probably would like to clarify everything, to a reasonable extent.

What if they assumed the worst of you without knowing you?

Lew is basically any other wannabe tech Youtuber's insta 5 minutes of fame. All you've got to do is get butthurt over something he did and bam, you're getting attention.

People are assuming he was paid by Escobar to play up the Escobar Fold 2...but anyone who has the ability to pick up on humor and sarcasm and watches the video that he never plays this phone up. It's all tongue in cheek, but just because he doesn't outright trash the phone, people think he's on the payroll now.

Mrwhostheboss made a great video breaking down the phone, and if people wanted that video, they could have gone to his channel. To expect all channels to create the same content is ridiculous. The reason these guys are all great is because the they have different takes on the same product.

Long story short, he made a video. He didn't bash the phone as much as people liked. Some even stretched and inferred he was promoting the phone. Now he's on Escobar's payroll. Lew, the biggest tech YouTuber. Does that make sense? If it does, then fine, you're entitled to that, but for him to justify almost every 5 seconds of his video because people think that badly of him? That's a terrible reality to be in.

Did he give away all those iPhones yet?
