Video time bar blocked by home / back buttons

May it's something stupid I'm missing, but when I play a video, from a text for example, the video time bar on the bottom is blocked by the menu / home / back buttons. Any way to change this?

I just tried this with gestures and buttons navigation no issues. Are you using stock message app when you view the text video?
