AC Question

I took a video using my moto x play running on android marshmallow. I have a 32 gb sd card inserted as internal storage. But when I go to setting, storage,sd card,videos...the folder is showing empty. I tried the same thing with images but it's showing. I can find the videos inside the folder.
My question is why is the videos folder showing empty when the files are actually there inside?
Please help.

Try the "DCIM" folders on the internal and extremal drives. Do not be afraid to explore, just don't delete anything and use the USB power cord connected to your computer to go more in depth within the devices system to locate your videos.

Also, make sure you've adjusted the "default" video storage settings. This would direct any data and images to the correct folder.

It's possible you have a ".nomedia" file inside the video folder you're saving the videos to. A .nomedia file will hide media files from the media scanner... so if the .nomedia file is present in the video folder, they may not show up in your storage, but will still show up if you look directly in the video folder. A .nomedia file in any media folder will also hide the content from the gallery. I'm not sure what file explorer your phone has, but if it doesn't have one, you can use ES File Explorer. Check to see if there's a .nomedia file in the video folder and if so, delete it. You may need to have your file explorer show hidden files in order to see the .nomedia file.
