videos freezing on galaxy S6

when playing videos on facebook or instagram etc on my galaxy S6 the picture freezes after about 5 seconds but the sound continues. the video starts up again after about 5 seconds but the picture is 5 seconds behind the sound track. even if you pause the video and start again from any where in the video it does the same thing. any ideas? have deleted all photos and videos out of gallery in case it was a storage thing but no change still does it.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data? How about videos on other apps like YouTube, or on websites?
