videos from browser that normally open in the video app don't

Ive disabled a few apps, none having to do with the video player or anything like that. I cant seem to stream videos from my browser through the video app like when i had my s4. I would open up a video to stream and it would prompt me (on s4) to open it in the video app but it doesn't do that on the s5. Is their something i have to do? Or is this the way itll be from now on, the not so great in-browser streaming suckssss. Someone please halppp.
