AC Question

Just got the Galaxy Note 5. All was well until I noticed that users videos were not playing on Instagram. They either play for a second or two and a "refresh" icon comes out in the middle of the screen. I've cleared the cache, cleared the data, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, hooked up to Wifi with different speeds and nothing seems to be working.. It's really upsetting and annoying..

Re: Videos not playing on Instagram Note 5

Welcome to Android Central! Does that also happen on mobile data, or on other wi-fi networks?

Try wiping the cache partition (different from the app cache): https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-23240

Although this doesn't sound like the same problem, a Google+ update was recently causing problems with video playback. Try uninstalling Google+ (or its updates), then reinstall it.

I have the same problem. I had the Note 3 and was having the same issue and then upgraded to the Note 5 and it's the same thing. So annoying! I have Sprint and instagram comes preloaded on the phone so I'm not even able to uninstall the app.

I'm having the same problem on an LG G4. The still image of the video shows but the refresh button just flickers on and off. Its the same on Wi-Fi and 4g. It seems to be intermittent, sometimes the videos load with no problems.

Instagram is having serious video playing issue, it just has a spinning circle and the video never loads or when does pauses and loads constantly or never finishes playing on mobile data and even when switching to the super fast house wifi . I already tried reinstalling the app, updating the app, clearing the app cache (temporary fix then moments later issue still there), restarting phone, still nothing working for my Samsung galaxy phone...
