Videos not working on s6 galaxy

I recently lost all my pictures and videos, luckily I managed to get them back and uploaded them on to drop box but now the videos won't play it's changed them into pictures, is there a way I can change them back?

I would check your Dropbox account via a computer. Dropbox wouldn't have converted them to images, it may just be your phone showing that they are.

This, make sure you didn't just upload the thumb nails of the videos. Check the file sizes, that will be a good indication. Videos normally are very hard to recover do to their large file size compared to pictures and other smaller files. You probably had only recovered the thumbnail images of the videos.
