videos pictures sd card help

I have a lg optimus dynamic 2.3
I have a lot of videos and pictures
in my galery and i put them in my
sd card extrnal and when i delete
a video or picture from my gallery
on my intrnal drive it delets the same
files that is in my sd card
how can i delete the videos and
pictures from the gallery on the
phone without deleting it from my
extrnal sd card?? help please

Welcome to Android Central! If you delete a photo in the Gallery app, you're essentially deleting that photo from your storage as well--that's just how it works.

Have you considered uploading your videos to a cloud solution like Google+ or Dropbox?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The external SD card is separate from the phone's onboard Internal Storage. External SD cards are primarily helpful for storing media like videos, photos, and music files. On some phones, you can move a portion of an installed app to the external SD, but you can't move the entire app there. I think thumbnails are taking up space. I recommend installing a cache cleaner like Android assistant that has an option for clearing the thumbnails. You have to run it manually, at least for the free version.

You're welcome. I also use cache clear and set it to automatically clean my cache every hour for the regular simple types of cache.
