Videos won't delete

When I try and delete a video I get the message that the video is write protected and can not be deleted. When I go into properties on the video, they are not "read Only". I cant seem to find anyway to "unprotect" them so I can delete them. My galaxy is getting full and I want to upload some move videos as I travel internationally and use the Note as my primary entertainment device.

Any Suggestion?

TIA

Which method are you using to delete? I would try different file manager apps (There is a pretty good one that was posted in the recommended apps of the week on saturday or try ES Explorer).

Maybe try deleting these files via your PC as well.

I have tried from the PC and with ES File Explorer as well as X-plore. I either get the message that the file is write protected, or I just get an unable to delete this file message. Very, Very strange.....

I have a similar problem.. sometimes I get that they are write protected.. sometimes they delete..but later they seem to restore themself.

I have the same issue. Trying to delete directly from phone, and video returns 3-5 seconds later!

Hello...

My experience is that KitKat sometimes doesn't "play nice" with files on the sd card. I moved the files that I wanted to delete to the phone storage and was able to delete. Also, you may try to delete from within the gallery. Further, check your sync settings if videos are set to sync. YRMV.
