View content button replaced with smart view?

Before the most recent update (a few days ago), I was able to open a video file, press share and there was a button called "view content on" or something like that and it would project the file onto my Samsung smart TV. It was not via screen mirroring because I was able to still use the tablet in full while the movie was on the TV. Now, after the update, there is a button called smart view, which still allows me to use my tablet in full but now I can't turn off the display without it killing the feed to the TV. All I want to do is share a movie on my TV and shut my tablets display. Is that possible anymore?

I don't know, sorry; just when I was getting used to Android 5, auto update install 6 on me and it is kind of confusing in the beginning, I miss some of the old features that I have gotten use too.

Appreciate the response. Forgot I even posted after almost a week with no responses, ha. I don't know why they would change a feature like that. Really irritating since I used it all the time. I still haven't found a workaround to date.
